Hey guys,

Even though its been years since I've done anything with this blog I thought I'd go ahead and share with anyone that comes across it what I've been up to. Recently my wife and I have started a successful gun sling manufacturing business called Little Creek Trading that has been keeping us extremely busy along with our normal 9 to 5 jobs. Eventually we plan selling a large array of different products but honestly at this time our current workload is keeping us busy enough. If you've got a few seconds I'd love it if you'd check us out:

Thanks!

Father and Son Photo Trip

4

Life has been crazy busy for us lately. My to-do list keeps getting longer and the days keep getting shorter. Don't get me wrong. Life is great right now. Both Byrnes & Maddox Weddings and Ben Maddox photography are growing at crazy exciting rates! But quite simply it's been hard to catch a breath. I needed a break.

I got it!

With the cooler weather brings our annual father/son fall photo trip. I can't think of any other weekend that I look forward to more year after year. I absolutely love spending time with my dad.

And just like every other year we had a great time and found a ton of cool new locations around Arkansas.

Check out a few of the shots below.

Free Download: 25 Full Resolution Textures

Here are 25 cool high resolution textures I've found around my house and backyard the past several days. There are literally tons of sweet things you could do with these bad boys. I've been using textures for several years now with great success. Textures can really add a lot of depth to images, but they can also ruin them.

Hmm, maybe I should post on that...

Feel free to use the textures for any non commercial work you see fit. If your looking to use them commercially shoot me an email and we'll work something out.

So which ones do you like the best?

Photographer Spotlight: George Lange

George Lange's lighthearted, imaginative and clean photographic style has given him access to subjects that most of us can only dream about photographing. One quickly realizes this entire last sentence upon first glance of his quirky website. What I really want you to check out, even If you see nothing else would be his Videos, specifically this one.

So, what do you think?

Recommended Links: Sports Shooter

Are you interested in becoming a professional photographer but would like a little insight into the profession first? Maybe you're already a pro and you're looking for a place to swap war stories. If either of these describe you then I would suggest checking out Sports Shooter. It's a great place to see what real world working pros are saying about all aspects of the industry. The great thing is that unlike it's name suggests, Sports Shooter's members work in many different fields from wedding to adventure photography (although some might argue that weddings are adventure photography). There is just one catch, you won't be allowed to post on the forums without being a member (and becoming one isn't easy). I've never joined, but the insight that it has provide me over the years has been invaluable. Take a look and let me know what you think.
